That "Cinematography" is so bad. It's just hideous.

The direction is what gets me. You have whatever this speedster is moving super fast but the punches could barely break drywall. I know most comic spergouts are about speed implications, but the guy should at least be acting like he’s getting hit with fist-sized trucks, whatever that looks like.

It's because CGI literally cannot properly depict any real sense of power. There's never any weight. The area where anime (accursed be thy name) gets it right is they stylise the FRICK out of things so when something is meant to be depicted as fast it actually feels fast. Notice how the sand in the capeshit film is utterly uneffected by what the replies describe as a "supersonic" character. When they punch eachother in marvel its like watching two plastic action figures hit eachother, there's zero impact to the world around them or power. No kinetic energy imparted. Even something as simple as this one fricking kick has more style to it than a decade worth of MCU.

The guy in the CGI clip makes no real attempt too sell the blows. He just flops his torso around, while his lower body doesn't move at all. Good animation and direction uses techniques like smear frames too show how the force of a heavy blow distorts and travels through he body and demonstrate speed, hold and release on impacts and windups too give them more weight, shows the environmental destruction of throws, punches, and footsteps, and of courses uses stylized closeups of exertion or pain too show the effect each action has on the characters.

This has none of that. Just compare it too something like Asuka vs the Eva Series, SSJ2 Goku vs Kid Buu, or for something more modern in addition too OPM, Gogeta vs Broly.

Black lives matter

One-Punch ending scene

I hate the blurring with CGI. It looks like disconnected garbage.

The Boys had pretty good fight scenes involving super heroes, so there is hope.

Honestly I doubt the real actor is actually in the scene besides the very beginning. The rest is mostly Cgi probably (maybe with real face.

Both of them look like they have zero weight to them.
