Do you think the US would try to geographically expand in the near future?

I have marked the future superstates on a world map

The US is already the wealthiest country in the world, but is getting stiff competition from China now. On top of that growth after a peak is only possible with further integration/expansion of resources. As the US becomes more wary of active wars to secure resources, the only other possibility is further integration if resources within and around the country.

One of the most successful ways to do so would be to integrate Canada and Mexico wholesale into the USA. Which although visibly very unlikely would actually turn the US into a superstate capable of guaranteeing global hegemony for another century or two.

The primary challenge for the US would be that Mexico in it's current form is far too unstable, but as the human rights record of the country keeps improving they may be in a position to reach above the minimum selection threshold.

The far more likely addition would be Canada. Which is culturally and economically very close to the US already.

The third option would be adding Puerto Rico as an official state which might be a viable choice for the Democrats the next time they come into power.

At some point the US has to expand to stay constantly dominant. Preferably non violently to ensure other countries are also held to an international standard.

That is the only way for it to outwit the multiple regional powers future. Surely they know this internally too.

Leaf here. Please annex us, don't annex Quebec, ignore the natives altogether, and we'll all be a lot better for it
