Si the way I understand it is that Russian oligarchs have been sanctioned and there is talk of removing Russia from the international monetary system. Which will make them completely dependent on China alongside Iran and Pakistan. The problem with that is that China has managed to make poor nations better off but has shown no capacity to build up middle income nations into powerhouses.
On top of that Europe may now begin following a far more focused policy of decreasing dependency on Russian oil with the US supplying as much oil as possible to Europe at the moment.
My question is what happens next. There is a very low chance of an internal Russian revolution, far higher chance of taking over some breakaway Ukrainian territories along with long term economic decline. Into a 5 digit GDP per capita for the next decade or two.
Do you think Russia is going to become completely dependent on China in the coming years due to their actions currently? With the eastern bloc made up of China, Russia, Cambodia, Iran, Belarus, Pakistan?
