Bitcoin has that reputation because of the old drug markets, but you had to use money laundering techniques to obscure payments. Otherwise cops will read blockchain and van you.

There's loads of crypto that would work perfectly for them but they heard that one crypto is bad so all crypto is bad. Its very r-slurred. I used to flex my crypto gains and promote it on twitter. I've even paid for commissions with it.

But now it's such a hot topic in the fandom that people will lose their shit if you mention you participate in the Crypto ecosystem. I've gotten uninvited from a furry party because some anti crypto :marseytrain2: decided to paint me as a bad guy because I got into a minor twitter spat with her over crypto.
