Sometimes you underestimate the little things that make a friend. Just brings to mind the minor things /u/joslemmons did for me that shows just that.
When he found out my daughter loves Mortal Kombat, he was so excited to find out her favorite characters and what finishers she liked most, and to talk about the game, including offering tips. It was such a genuine response and interest from him.
Another even more minor detail he made sure to never forget, me being the only "weeb" in the modteam, I had mentioned a couple times in passing at least a year ago my favorite anime character. To his last day he never did forget that and even brought the character up recently to my surprise.
Like I said very minor stuff, but it always felt important to him to know his friends as well as he could.
such an inspirational individual

Shut the frick up. Chances are you will never have to face issues related to abuse or racism (assuming youβre white) and because of that it will always be something you can βjokeβ about, because it will never seriously affect you. Maybe if you actually knew what it felt like to be secondary or othered because of your race, or if you were traumatized from domestic violence or knew someone who was, youβd know why this makes the people actually affected by that uncomfortable. This meme could trigger flashbacks and other trauma for an abuse victim and ruin their entire day, possibly their entire fricking week or even more, and theyβd have to deal with that because some edgelord thought it would be a funny meme format.
