I've taken a lot of language classes. Immigrant students who "speak the language at home" always do poorly because despite being able to converse, they're illiterate r-slurs who can't write or read for shit. They legitimately deserve to fail (and that's a good thing).

Yeah thats basically what it seems like everyones getting super heated about.
Its like someone speaking AAVE or some deep southerner bitching that they got marked down on the SATs for writing an essay filled with trashy slang and unintelligible colloquialisms
