I am thankful to /r/drama. I know this sounds lame, but /r/drama is responsible for grillpilling me. I believe first stumbled across the sub during 2017-18(?), and immediately became fascinated by this crazy mixture of weirdos and eccentric posting style. From teenage carjackers to rat taxidermists, actual billionaires, autists obsessed with Taylor Swift, dinosaurposters, Lawlz, momruepari and his memes, everything was so brilliant and amazing. The sub gave me a new perspective on internet cultural wars. In a hyperpoliticized environment, places like /r/drama were a relief, a reminder that literally none of this is important and taking politics too seriously makes you look like a fool. All the bait subs, all the fun aside, this sub was a reminder of the mean, rude but lighthearted spirit of the internet. I unironically would've been a tankie by now if I hadn't discovered you guys. For that, I thank you^_^

I was a teenager anarchist and one of my posts was crosposted to the subreddit. Spent days in a thread trying to justify anarchist superiority all while i was being bussy blasted. Got really angry but subconsciously thought dramatards were a lot funnier than the choo choos in commie subs.
