Theres a lot of downvoted comments when people blame republicans for not letting democrats do things, now theyre all downvoted but no one actually responds to the points

The thing is, according to Joe Manchin they’d agree to it if the budget for the bill was lowered from 3.5 TRILLION to either three Tril or one Tril. Now there’s 500 million dedicated to just climate stuff, couldnt they pass the bill without the climate stuff and then use the success of the bill to push for the climate?

Or alternatively, they dont have to compromise with repubs. Put them out of your mind. Instead, compromise with Manchin. Manchin can play ball and theres some useless stuff in the BBB. For example i was watching maher and one of the things was a regulation forcing all car manufacturers to like put in an automatic alert system if you leave a baby in a car with rolled up windows. Absolutely useless because anyone who does that is either a tweaker or is trying to kill a baby. So removing some of that and JM could easily have passed the bill, because he can play ball since he approved of the new supreme court pick

Now im wondering why do they propose these bills and then watch them get stricken down and then throw their hands up? Do they get off on not helping people? There are bipartisan bills like CHIPS almost was, but it seems they set out to make these bills unrealistic so they wont have to spend. At least they propose bills like this which Repubs dont but they could definitely try to fight for them instead of giving more money for war
