frick the confederacy and frick yo family

Shouldn’t be so hard to comprehend. I have ancestors who I found out fought for the confederacy and died. My immediate reaction was “ok. They deserved to lose”. My life isn’t damaged one bit by not celebrating people generations ago. Heritage is no excuse for this bulltnsit. Frick the confeds.

I think for any normal person their reaction would be that they'd find the war unfortunate or something. It's pretty funny how the average redditor has more sympathy for middle eastern terrorists than their own ancestors in this scenario. Somehow their brains shut off because the subject is the confederacy.

Also lots of talk about insurrection and treason in that thread. There's just something about when confederates and nazis enter the discussion where these people always pretend to be patriotic warhawks.
