The dollar store in my local town (it's the only store) actually shut down from this. I'm personally affected by this and i don't like it.

Workers all decided to come together and do a strike for better pay/conditions. The store is closed and there is a sign on the window explaining the whole thing. Per local Facebook dollar general regional managers are on the scene trying to defuse the situation.

Unfortunately this is my only nearby convenience store if i forget to buy any groceries.
