It's actually 302 since the thread starts at 0/300 and ends with an extra tweet :marseyohno: :marseyohno: :marseyohno:

The problem with weeb games or other East Asian media is that they have a way with style and design, but what the frick, their world-building and characterization abilities are abysmal. It’s to the point where they recycle a premise with very trivial distinctions, and follow extremely similar story arcs. Then one in a hundred actually thinks of original ideas (or more precisely recycles very old ones and integrates it in a modern package), but putters out and either falls into the tropemaxxing sexual fan fare, or literally distorts itself and implodes when the author is running on creativity-fumes (AoT being a hilarious example of nip storytelling).

Elden ring right made the smart choice and imported mayoid ideas :marseypipe:, but still frick up the characterization and some story points because they truly find it hard to immerse themself and think in terms of a foreign setting and what is consistent within one. Or just think about things from the prospective of someone radically different than them, so the characters are 1-dimensional projections of how they think they would act while being intellectually poisoned by the tropes congealed from others doing the same. By the way I have never played it or watched anything related to it, yet I feel extremely confident in this opinion. :marseysmug:

That's nice sweaty. Why don't you have a seat in the time out corner with Pizzashill until you calm down, then you can have your Capri Sun.
