Why do people still travel to China anymore? I tried to go there back in 2008 and they only let me go through customs after I bribed them because their drug sniffing dog smelled a used suitcase I got from a garage sale. The hotel workers stole shit from our suitcases and treated us like a subhumans even though I was literally paying them money. My translator I paid 400 USD a day in advance to help translate for the travel group that day just didnβt show up after because he βfelt uncomfortableβ around my black friend. I am so angry that these are the kind of people at the forefront of the global economy.
