I never understood that. "Yeah I want to travel after college, best destination for me is probably a totalitarian surveillance state where I can pretend to teach people English for a few months." Even if you have an Asian fetish, go teach in like Japan or SK or something instead. I have a hard time feeling sympathy for anyone who travels to a place where there's a nonzero chance they won't let you leave.
