The government could totally just kill a huge chunk of their own taxpayers like no problem, dude. That's why your precious "guns" won't save you. you will never be able to overthrow an opressive regime, it's never happened before. No one should have guns, and the police will use non-violent methods to talk down extremist gun owners and enforce a safe, gun free society.

There was a mass shooter like 6 years ago that killed 9 cops before going down and injured others. It was a young man with a single ar-15. In the end it took IIRC around 30 cops surrounding him to beat him safely.
