Bob's Burgers is a tragedy, the first season was weirdly cynical and twisted and fun but the last few are an absolute snooze fest.

It's like they're trying to do King of the Hill and find humor in the mundane but literally nothing ever happens.

I agree, they stripped it of any "edginess" they had and it all comes off pretty flat now.

It's funny you said that because I was thinking exactly that when I was watching that episode. It was thinking it's maybe going for a Seinfeld "show about nothing" slice of life, but the writing does not hold up. I don't know if they got new writers or what, but the episodes sound like they go record whatever their first draft is and do no editing or punch up.

yeah, the later seasons run together in my memory. There were a few times where I had to pause and make sure I was actually watching a new episode
