TL;DR:
Now comes the story of Zac Kriegman, who, until not so long ago, was a director of data science at Thomson Reuters. Kriegmanβs crime? Questioning the Black Lives Matter narrative. Kriegman is a person who loves numbers and statistics. As youβll read below, he didnβt just voice an opinion to his colleagues. He made an argument after having done extensive research. He thought logic would win out. He was wrong.

Okay but read his whiny email that he sent to the whole company.
If I had an employee that was cryposting over the email system I'd have him shitcanned too, regardless of whether or not I agreed with him.

I feel like whenever these guys post these "against the narrative" opinions that get them fired, it's always a guy who was a staunch liberal forever and is now having his "baby's first no-no opinion" experience. It always reads like it's their first time having an opinion challenged like this. I want to have sympathy for em but at the same time they do it to themselves. Nobody ever taught them that the best thing to do with a transgressive opinion is keep it to yourself til you get in a voting booth.

But they dont speak anything to anyone. They just sperg out and get fired, honestly who wants to have an r-slured data scientist trying to debate shit in corporate chat. Even office drone libs usually just send soulless woke HR spam, this guy went on a /r/themotte style RATIONALIST personal rant. No way he's not actually neurodivergent.

Did you and half the r-slurs in this thread even read the article? They had some discussion board specifically for or at least filled with plenty of politics. There were plenty of pro-BLM anti-wypipo rants, their problem wasn't with the place it was with the content.
