The Easiest Job In The World...

Working in fast food is not a skilled trade, specifically because anyone can be trained to work a fast food job extremely effectively in less than 2 weeks. Not everyone can become a plumber, carpenter, or electrician, even with months and months of training

Common sense? Guess the number of updoots.

have you tried having more value than something that can be learnt in 3hours by a 15year old ?

When I worked BOH at restaurants I never woke up panicking about forgetting to scrub the carbon buildup off the bottom of a pan but I definitely have that happen because I forgot to idle some of my equipment or something.

The thing i miss most about working wagie jobs is getting to go home and just completely reset. Theres no "oh god I have a meeting in the morning", no "shit i should answer that email".

School and salary work never just give you that complete downtime because whenever you're home theres always the feeling that you could be doing more. But working a wagie job just lets you restart every day fresh, youre off the clock and you NEVER have to think about it like summer break when you were a kid

Yeah exactly, even when I'm not working I'll still have thoughts about some problem I'm working through, something I forgot to do, a project that got dropped, etc. It's not even because I think I could be doing more, it's literally just because the nature of non-wagie work is that things take more than 1 day to complete.

Haha didn't even register that "oh no I burned my arm on the fryer I need at least 3 days off to recover"

Not to mention the "FASTER" command from the ebil boss man is because you're a lazy r-slur and he wants to go home so hurry the frick up with closing duties you lazy butt

I did sort of fast food work in college, I worked at the dining center flipping burgers. You'd have to be a complete lazy shitheel to think the job is that bad. And guess what? The people that complained the most about the job were lazy shitheels!! Everyone else who had an ounce of work ethic got their shit done and worked well with everyone else.

Also, if you're getting severe burns in a modern commercial kitchen you most likely weren't following proper safety procedures and therefore it's your own fault.

Yeah I was gonna say, I bet McD's, or really any major chain, is substantially safer to work in than some no-name mom n' pop kitchen.
