Whatever it takes to not notice that crime went down after several "tough on crime" campaigns held throughout the 80s, three strikes laws are implemented, and the prison population explodes. Also don't notice it's rising after progressive prosecutors step putting everyone on probation, three strike laws overturned, and prison populations are decreasing.
