Not actually playing but as a formerly avid Battlefield gaymer I find it hysterical how poorly 2042 has been received and that they just cut features as part of the latest update (128 player something or other).

I've never been happier to see a game fail so miserably. I played tons of BF4 and wanted 2042 to be great but after playing the beta for 5 minutes I could see the game for the trash it was. Anyone that preordered or purchased deserves the misery they are enduring rn.
I do wish there was a different shooter that was good out rn so I could convince my friends to play something other than Warzone though

Haven't touched it since Battlefield 1 but it was obvious DICE was trending the wrong way after the fiasco that was V and how quickly they opted to abandon ship on further content.

I initially had faith that they could see V as a step in the wrong direction. I figured that they were smart enough to see that people would throw shit loads of money at a clone of bf3/bf4. I gave game directors too much credit. They are basically the same tier as game journ*lists at this point

Started playing BF4 again. Kinda sad the series wont ever be as good as that again. BF1 has dope ideas but it started a downward trend of stupid decisions to BF2042

BF4 is still sweet to this day. My only gripe is how quick the tanks can turn their main gun and the occasional heli whore
