Pride Month will be upon us in less than a day. In preparation for this most important month of the year, it is time to address a problem I have unfortunately observed: the rampant transphobia and transmisia on rDrama. We even recently learned that our very own @chiobu has been Scientifically Proven to be the 18th-most transphobic user on the KiwiFarms!
In that same spirit, I embarked upon a rigorous statistical analysis of our own site using a state-of-the-art Transmisia-Detecting Algorithm: what percentage of a user's comments contain such slurs as '
', '
', 'troid', 'train', deadnames of valid women, and many other similarly vile terms. This confirmed my prior suspicions: our worst offenders deny the very existence of trans people as frequently as once every ten comments! Some have even written hundreds of these hateful comments.
We must immediately remedy this unacceptable bigotry, and we shall do so with our specialty: public humiliation. The top ninety most transmisic users—who have commented enough to reveal, with certainty, the hate in their hearts—have already been given a badge of shame:

Before they are soon loaded onto the cattle cars for the re-education camps, you are all encouraged to be on the lookout for these users in comment sections and teach them the error of their wrathful ways. Your local janitorial staff will largely turn a blind eye to abuse and mockery of these users, so clearly identified by their mandated badge. Do us proud, rDrama, and help us clean up the site for a beautiful Pride Month.

That's almost entertaining (saw 20 minutes). So proper countersteer means that if you're turning say, right, you turn the left handlebar towards you momentarily, and then do the usual right handlebar towards you afterwards for the remainder of the turn?

For whatever it's worth and in an effort to help rather than to try and change your mind, maybe I can give you my perspective. As a guy, (and I'm sure most people think this way) - I don't particularly have any particular 'feeling' I'm male or female. I just "assume" I'm male because of all the usual attributes that go along with it, such as my name, my obvious physical characteristics, interests, physical strength and stuff. Is it possible, just even a TINY chance that your feeling to be the other gender is like intrusive thoughts of some description? As one example that you probably know, when driving, everyone gets crazy intrusive thoughts like "what if I suddenly steer right into that lorry?!".

Sort of. You really don’t want to “turn” the handlebars at speed, rather you should be loosely pushing on them. At speed the bike creates its own stability that you want to trust. For this reason you don’t really need to turn the handlebars back- they will move that way for you. If you watch a first person video of counter-steering you might notice that you don’t even see the handlebars move the “wrong” direction, even when they only have one hand on the bars clearly pushing them the opposite way of the turn, you only see them moving “into” the turn.

Kind of related, I remember quad biking, and it felt really unnatural to turn (nothing like a bicycle), and I kept having to fight the temptation to go the other way to maintain balance. Survived in the end though without turning over!

Ah, okay interesting. Have you tried hypnosis? Even if you think the opposite of your biological s*x is your true gender, perhaps hypnosis can help you to believe a lie, which might make you happier in the long run. And if the 'lie' turns out to be the truth after all, even better, but it doesn't have to be for the procedure to be effective. In principle, it seems as if it's something simpler than who you're attracted to, so maybe it's easier to "flick the switch" and flex the other way.

I don’t consider “gender” to be some innate truth. I probably have some birth defect or have been brainfricked by life. Even still, I repressed a lot harder than I repress now pretty much my whole life, “believing the lie” if you will. Trust me, this shit finds its way to worm its way onto the surface- be it by being strangely intrigued by other trains in your life, sexual, romantic fantasies or even just daydreaming about being the opposite gender in day to day situations. I’ve never crossdressed because I hate the idea of being a man in a dress but I have pretended to be a woman online in my teens (something I’m not very proud of).
The issue is, when you don’t let things bubble up, you essentially feel like you’re not present in the situation. It’s like your body is a machine and your forced to watch the world through its eyes. The good days are the ones where your brain shuts off and you literally are an emotionless robot, and the bad days are when you feel like a prisoner in your own skull.

Maybe hypnosis could still help though, and help make it much easier to repress the 'other gender', or nullify it completely even?
Other than that, I can only think of a couple of VERY speculative treatments. Transcranial magnetic stimulation is one, but expensive. And the other is fecal transplant surgery which (as disgusting as it sounds) can have the effect of making people feel like a completely different personality. Like a vegetarian sudden starting to eat meat, or a someone very lazy caring about fitness, or taking up hobbies they never imagined before (but the donor had), such as tennis or gardening. It works because the brain is very much controlled by the microflora within the gut, and some even call it a 'second brain' as a result. Kinda almost reminds me of the Cordyceps fungi.
