Her argument is that this could be a way to raise digital people. I find the dubious. You'd either need to cut up a real baby for that, or understand neuroscience or genetics+biochem so well that you can build one from the ground up. In the first scenario you'd just skip the baby and scan an adult. In the second scenario I still don't see virtual babies, seeing how "think of the children" is the goto pearl clutch inducer politicians have, especially babies.
