I've done shrooms a couple times, will likely do lsd at some point. The idea that these can be useful experiences is so laughable. You feel like a fricking plant lmao.

There is good evidence for some psychodelics as medicine, but the manner of use is very different from recreational. Eg:

A lot of autists just stick with weed booze and molly because the main thing about the spectrum involves a hyperactive nervous system, and all three of those will calm you down while being perfectly fine for you in moderation. Coke makes you too hyper, meth's too addictive, and lsd/shrooms will turn you schizo.

Those 3, going outside/staying active, and a healthy support system are all you need for good mental health without the use of meds.

Yeah someone in the thread mentioned that PTSD/etc treatment with psychs involve a lot of talking and therapy during the trip. Not hanging with your buddy and talk about how much you feel like an apple.

Yeah there is some interesting shit like doing therapy on mushrooms about quitting cigarettes which can help develop/reinforce thought patterns about wanting to quit and increase quitting success rates. So the neuroplasticity stuff isn’t all bullshit but watching Rick and morty high as kite ain’t gonna fix your life lol.

I agree. Nothing against normal junkies, just against those that constantly convince themselves and others that drug use is Akchyually good and helpful and not addictive and doesn't harm your health. Like, of course it fricks up your health - that's why people take it

I’ve never met someone who regularly did hallucinogens that wasn’t an incredibly annoying r-slur. As much as redditors soyjack over hallucinogens and brain plasticity, taking them regularly seems to turn your brain to mush and destroy your ability to learn. Also those people are the ones saying that acid makes you smarter while being a drooling r-slur makes them unbearable.

it's not laughable in the moment though, honestly every benign thought feels like some deep revelation to me when i'm doing it. however, if someone can't recognise that everything they did and thought was dumb as frick in retrospect, they would have to be a drooling r-slur
