We consume a ton of oil but work commute is too insignificant to effect price. Pumping production is the only way to go short term. They are giving contracts to drill Federal oil reserves out like candy right now.

I would agree on that, i'm thinking it's more of a perception thing they should be doing at this point.
Opec and Venezuela are our only actual ways out in the short term here
