A tip is a reward for service, not a bid or a bribe. If this is really a problem, they should change it so you are only prompted to input a tip when you receive the order.

The entire concept of tipping is dumb. It's a way for restaurants to make their prices look lower while also paying their workers less.

You'd have to be a real peepee not to tip. It's just expected and the entire system is set up on the basis people will in fact tip.

"You choose how much the service costs but if you pick a low number they might treat you worse" is how you deal with an Indian government official, not a restaurant.

Yes, you're expected to tip. The tip is still rendered after service in every other context. If a tip influences the quality of service the whole thing is backwards.
