Yeah I'd be totally okay with leaving diesel off the tax holiday even if it does hurt a small number of personal use vehicles - the vast majority of diesel consumed is for commercial purposes.

I hate redditors :marseyrage:

Dramatards are worse:

  • more smug

  • less funny

  • think they’re free thinkers when really they’re terminally online r-slurs

Thankfully this site will die off soon enough.

As a trans(port) person i dont care what the price of gas is. Company pays it, rates go up and I actually make more money as a percent of load. Kinda sweet actually. Sucks for anyone who relies on truckers but they should know better.

I'm not in trucking, but know a few people on the administrative / corporate side. The profit margin isn't high to begin with (industry average is like 3-4%), so any increase in gas really fricks them, customers have been resistant to absorbing the higher rates so far because a lot of them are in agriculture or something similarly cutthroat financially.

It's a small business so they can't be as agile, I'm sure larger corps will be fine though taking the dent.

It'll just hurt the little guys and consumers in the end :marseysad:

Yeah receivers will just have to pay more to get their shit. Truck drivers are in short supply mostly its a crappy life where people treat you like shit outside of farmers. Gas prices will affect everything.

I said a week or so ago that the fed should just raise taxes on income for corporations and the top 10%

Does this "man" think the fricking Federal Reserve sets the tax rate?

A whopping 18 cents per gallon saving! Thanks Joe! Instead of paying $5.50 per gallon, I will now pay $5.32 per gallon. My wallet is saved. :marseywholesome:
