There are LITERALLY canonical LGBTQ+ people in the ARK lore. ARK has made a post in support of Pride month VERY recently. This is a harmless fanart celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and you gladly silence that, over the people being genuinely hateful? At least now we've seen where the moderation team stands on that.
But yeah, LGBTQ+ people existing is "political". Sure. The moment we say that about heterosexual people, we're being absurd.
