Intonation bothers me, but tricky to pin down why.

EDIT: Listening again, there's not many overtones to the timbre, like his voicebox is broken and most of the change in intonation sounds like his voice is "wilting" at the end of sentences, dropping down a semitone or two. Overall monotonic intonation without much colour or character.
