Redditors try to comprehend that carreer criminals running from a traffic stop aren't doing so because they are afraid of the slap-on-the-wrist they were getting for that half OZ weed but because they usually have a warrant out for their arrest challenge[IMPOSSIBLE]

It's aways the fricking same arguement: "People don't deserve the death penalty for running from the cops during a traffic stop!"

It's such a stupid angle, the cops don't know why you are running, they assume the worst, because schocker, it usually IS. People who run from the cops are more often than not repeat offenders that have warrants out for violent crimes, dealing or illegal possesion of a firearm. In rare cases are they commletely innocent and let's not forget that MOST chases do not end in shooting someone. But I forget that nuance doesn't exist so I'll now petition for cops to be handcuffed to their car & they can only detain you if you give consent to be detained & you can revoke this consent at any time, even during the sentencing hearing.

100% of these incidents an innocent person was shot, according to the law. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, by a jury of their peers.

I actually laughed. At least ten people gave this an updoot
