Lmfao like the entire country turned on the Taliban when the US rolled in in 2001. Radical muzzie leaders who swore they had the backing of the Afghan people were sold out by their brothers for the cost of stale MRE cookies.

Did bush tell you this? lmao :#marseybush:

The larger populace just supports whoever will give them the most money and has the most ability to drop bombs on their heads. There’s literally zero loyalty beyond the immediate family.

Most afghans hate the taliban

I was literally there talking to these people. Taliban, Russian, American, Afghan, it's all the same to some goat herder in Wardak who just wants to live the way he always has. We had one dude who thought we were Russians and when I told him we were Americans he asked why we were there. Absolutely everybody was fine with us killing OBL and toppling the Taliban. The problems started (for the US, the Taliban had the same problems back when they were running things whenever they tried to do anything more than arrest unaccompanied women) when we tried to “nation build” and got exploited by everybody who’s sole motivation was sponging up as many resources as possible. The US was averaging something like 20 deaths a year (if that) there for the last decade, we pretty much pacified any real resistance long ago; pulling out was entirely because of endless financial exploitation by locals and had nothing to do with the Taliban or guerilla warfare.

Your opinion is coming from your r-slurred westoid capeshit fantasy of some badass warriors uniting under their love of god to overthrow the Empire. You will never, ever fully understand this populace.

Fair enough. They hate the Taliban as much as they hated the US, they’re just outsiders going around trying to meddle in everyone’s affairs. Many will pretend otherwise as long as there’s some benefit but there’s little genuine loyalty. This is also why the Taliban is sneeding so hard over frozen funds, they only have power so long as they can pay their “supporters” off.

that all sounds true, I have never been to Afghanistan and I know nothing about its people or history or politics.
