How is D2 compared to PoE? I played PoE years ago in high school but don’t really play video games anymore. Is D2 worth playing?

They are very similar. D2 defined the genre and is near perfect, certainly worth playing. PoE came out 13 years later so they were able to add and fix the few things that D2 missed. The Diablo 2 remaster is coming out in September.

Diablo 2 is simpler. It also has tons of unique gear and junk. The biggest reason you would want to play Diablo 2 is because you can farm for specific runewords or uniques. It also is more difficult I think? Imagine the following, you make a Blizzard Sorc, she can only do cold damage. In Heck difficulty in Diablo 2, there are tons of enemies who are completely immune to cold damage so you can't do frickall to these enemies.

It is fun because it is kind of difficult and because of these rare things you can find.
