How great of a technological marvel was the Switch though? A handheld gaming device built on the NVidia Tegra that could double as a console with detachable location/movement-detecting controllers and all for $300. You could have bought 3 of them for the price of a Pixel 2 XL. Gotta give Nintendo credit for a slam dunk success. The critics loved it. The public loved it. And their stock price has loved it. Great bounce back from the Wii U.

Gotta appreciate great gaming technology and innovation whether it is handheld, console, PC, or VR. And it's amazing how Nintendo can continue to have such success while not simply chasing FPS. It's a testament to them that people keep buying their product in large volume almost 5 years later.
