funniest part is this though

Trevor Daniel Jacob, 29, of Lompoc, agreed to plead guilty to one count of destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation, a crime that carries a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

In the weeks following the plane crash, Jacob lied to investigators that he did not know the wreckage’s location, according to the plea agreement. In fact, on December 10, 2021, Jacob and a friend flew by helicopter to the wreckage site. There, Jacob used straps to secure the wreckage, which the helicopter lifted and carried to Rancho Sisquoc in Santa Barbara County, where it was loaded onto a trailer attached to Jacob’s pickup truck.

Jacob drove the wreckage to Lompoc City Airport and unloaded it in a hangar. He then cut up and destroyed the airplane wreckage and, over the course of a few days, deposited the detached parts of the wrecked airplane into trash bins at the airport and elsewhere, which he admitted in his plea agreement was done with the intent to obstruct federal authorities from investigating the November 24 plane crash.

On December 23, 2021, Jacob uploaded a YouTube video titled, “I Crashed My Airplane,”...

I went to my annual check up at my doctor's office today. I have loved and respected this doctor for years....great listener, proactive, replies to emails.....just a good doctor. I literally drive an hour to see this doctor. At my checkups throughout the pandemic, he had advocated for masks and vaccines. It was such a stress reliever to have a doctor in your corner.

However, the healthcare system that he works at, that had been masking since the beginning of Covid....ended their strict masking policy in the fall....and now have a "if you feel like it" policy.

So today....I walk in. I am decked out in my Aura mask and goggles....don't care how I look.

The receptionists weren't masked. The patients in lobby weren't masked.. The nurse who called me, in and took my blood pressure wasn't masked.....all pretty much expected.

BUT I thought for sure....without a doubt....my fantastic doctor would walk through the door of the waiting room with one on.

Sadly.....he didn't. He put one on when I asked....a surgical one. Throughout the exam he explained why....and his thoughts on Covid had changed to the stale rhetoric used by a majority of our society now. "Gotta live." "This is going to be around for a long time." "My wife had it twice, but I haven't tested positive yet."

I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone....or Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

My world just got infinitely smaller....and my respect for him will never be the same....if I even have any. So freaking disappointing.....and freaking scary.

Today was a bad day for a lot of us who are trying to do the right thing....and trying to survive.
