Sure buddy the glowie orgs didn't give a frick about leftist radicals during the Cold War and just left those groups to their own devices. :marseyclueless:

Nothing to see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colston_Westbrook

Colston Richard Westbrook (1937–1989) was an American teacher and linguist who worked in the fields of minority education and literacy. At the University of California, Berkeley, he established a program of prison outreach and approved students from the Bay Area to serve as volunteers. Some of the participants from Berkeley and two former prisoners at Vacaville Prison were among the founding members* in 1973 of the radical leftist group known as the Symbionese Liberation Army.

Westbrook had previously served with a contractor in Vietnam for the US Army that provided services to the CIA. After returning to the United States, he worked for the Los Angeles Police Department in its Criminal Conspiracy Section and the State of California's Criminal Identification and Investigation Unit. In 1970 he started graduate work at University of California, Berkeley and taught at the university after completing it.

*This includes Donald DeFreeze, one of the guys that was involved in the shooting of Marcus Foster.

:marseylaugh:

How suspicious! My dad was in the US Army directly "providing services" to guys flying secret missions into Laos. I guess he was a glowie.

After that he was a civilian employee of a city police department. Later he had students at Berkeley who became commies. What are the odds of that?

Colston worked for the Pacific Architects and Engineers which was directly involved in the Phoenix Program whose purpose was to carry out assassinations and psyops against the Communist Viet Cong.

Colston's former students and prisoners in his program that joined the SLA frequently got lenient sentencing, untraced weapons, and got killed before they could divulge any information. He was pretty involved the whole time as a left-wing political activist in academia, so it's not like he just taught some students that went on to be commies.

Leftoid and rightoid extremist groups are basically overrun by glowies at this point. Very few of these orgs are not under the watchful eyes of US intelligence.

  • A construction company building POW camps in South Vietnam is hardly suspicious. By that logic everyone who worked for Hyundai was probably a glowie. Literally millions of people worked for companies that did this stuff.

  • The Phoenix Program was not about assassination no matter how many times you pinkos repeat that. It was about identifying communist leaders so they could be arrested (~90% were). In a fraction of the cases the target was behind enemy lines so friendly guerillas were sent to deal with them.

  • Everyone in the early '70s was getting lenient sentences. Untraceable guns were all over the place. It was a very similar environment to today.

  • A Berkeley professor and his students were left-wing? Well frick, there can't be any simple explanation for that.
