Now what's interesting 🤔 for me about places like Deviant Art is that people's feeling or at least performative feelings can be as predictable as the tides.
The more liberal or progressive or woke, the seething aggressive the pushback on ai art will be, it's almost like in the art world it's the Isreal-palestine of issues and people instantly become unhinged by the mere mention of the issue or encountering AI art in the "wild"
The more shitlibs, the more histrionic
Example in Deviant Art the more conservative artists, even if they are already spectacularly good artists themselves, who don't need AI, but still used ai as experimental cowtools, even if they used machine-learning of their own portfolio, got pushback
/r/ReasonableFantasy is from the /r/MenWritingWonen hags originally who complained about any sexualisation of foids in art, so you can usually predict where they fall on the political cumpiss
Except /r/ReasonableFantasy has some cool posts now and then

Also the hands, and the general overall lack of detail are common ai-slop signs.
Also the fact that the 'WIP' work posted skips all steps that AI can't easily reproduce.

AI is more inconsistent and meaningless detail rather than lack of detail. Human artists will avoid adding detail they don't want to add while AI will just add it. The fact the two columns have different detail makes the detail look AI.

The hand is fricked but also that's why AI is bad at hands, people suck at drawing hands

Hands were a weird problem for AI to solve, since hand positions vary so much in pictures/painting it would often create an eldritch hand effect…
Latest Midjourney is insane though, looking forward to public models as good as it in 1-2 years time

I think that the problem with hands is that the AI can't count and fingers are relatively similar (and often hidden) so it can't reason about them locally either.
Fun fact: it parallels the way every single terrestrial vertebrate, from reptiles to birds to mammals, has at most five fingers on each hand or foot. This is because our fish ancestors didn't need more than five types of fin rays and so used a family of so called HOX genes that are used to spatially differentiate types of tissues, there's five genes in the family and they are highly conserved because used everywhere else too, so in the last half a billion years evolution couldn't figure how to count to more than five fingers.

The face is the least AI part of this photo. If AI could make faces like that we could just straight up stop developing SD models
