The outrage over AI art is super weird considering everything else AI has been widely used and loved in the past few years:

  • Self Driven cars

  • Smart Translation

  • Algorithmic Searches

All just more basic applications of neural networks, all have potential to get millions of people fired and obsolete etc. Is the difference really just about it being generative instead of functional? Or maybe because it still looks and feels off usually
