I mean this is patently untrue and I think people need to realize AI had a lot less to do with it than anything. The internet is about as free and open as you can get nowadays. It was always a race to the bottom. Chain emails, spam, phishing, etc. There's always been bots posting as humans since the Usenet days. The only reason they care now is because it affects their medium of choice, that being art.

The fundamental definition of art is 'thing that has been given meaning by a physical human action'
All good and evil art is built off of this. You're either maximizing the number of actions and meanings you apply (trad art), or maximizing the quality of those actions (asian calligraphic art) or maximizing the unconventiality of those two (pollock, shitsmear abstract art in general)
If you're actually fricking good, you have all three fully maximized.
Saying that AI art is not art is actually incorrect since you still have to press a few buttons, but according to these rules, AI images would classify as the lowest form of art possible, even below enterte kunst.
EDIT: AI 'art' is not art. Actions and meanings have to be directly applied to an object to make a piece of art. As AI does neither, AI 'art' is a complete and utter impossibility.
