are only ever about standard fantasy 
plotlines, i.e. a bunch of teenagers band together with a holy sword 
and kill 
an evil 
dragon 
that used to be a god also there’s a local war and a character 
or two loses their dad.
But if anime
fans will 
consume 
that schlock regularly, and they do, than a Fire 
Emblem anime 
should stand out because I think the storylines and characters are better than average for the genre.

For once I went most of the week without any Gundam, but I did go through Ace Attorney and a few episodes of Neon 
Genesis Evangelion.
Ace Attorney was alright, but no case really has time
to breathe 
in the anime. The plots aren’t as good 
as in the games, but the anime 
did make 
a few specific changes to avoid some of the dumber moments from the originals.
It’s too early for me to see what
all the fuss is about with Evangelion, but it’s pretty 
good 
so far. I still don’t get why teenagers have to pilot 
the things.

Yeah the community watch thing kinda got ignored by most people.
I thought about watching the gundam anime, but I didnt really watch anything this week except rewatch 5 cm per second. Maybe Ill watch it someday.
I watched some episodes of Evangelion a few years back but then in one episode they speak a few words german and it was too cringe so I didnt watch on, but I wanted to go back to it for a while now. Maybe Ill watch it someday.

The Gundam
OVAs (War in the Pocket, 8th MS Team, Stardust Memory) don’t disappoint. 
I’d honestly recommend them over 
most main Gundam 
shows.
As for the OG shows Mobile Suit
Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and Gundam 
ZZ, honestly those are only for dedicated fans who want to brush up on the canon. They’re too dated IMO to be entertaining to people trying to get into the franchise.

Don't let the goofy comedy trick you, don't bail out at 2nd episode like I did many years ago. I don't watch many new things, too. (a show a year, if that, few year after it ended) 3D spectacle gets boring pretty fast.

i had no issue with the look. I didn't really enjoy the first
season? part? whatever netflix is calling their release, and while this one was much better how they beat 
feng shui guy|| didn't vibe 
with me, and ||jailhouse lock just 
kind of got on my nerves even if it was a cool 
concept. I get they're staying true to the source 
and they cut it off at a good 
point 
for a season? to end, I really felt like parts were a bit too drawn out and that lowered my enjoyment.

Was told Kingdom is a great
series. Tried watching 
the anime 
but god darn is the adaptation dogshit CGI so i switched to manga. Its ok, great 
artstyle but story 
is pretty 
average but it supposedly gets better after like 60 chapters when it starts taking itself more seriously with the warfare and politics 
rather than shitty shounen-tier cliches so im sticking with it for now

Eh, that one strategist girl ruins any illusion of the manga being "serious about warfare and politics" and at least for me it stays at that dumb shounen level (unless you count gore and edge as seinen/adult)
If you're looking for an actual mature read about these topics read The Ravages of Time which is a manhua retelling the story of the romance of three kingdoms with a lot of artistic freedom.
