My brother and sister in law are other with my niece and nephew (both 7) and I love when they’re over because they’re both very very talkative and emotionally mature for their age and relate to adults well in conversation. Then They put on episodes of this Australian cartoon Bluey and I understand why if this the entertainment they watch. This is probably the best children’s television I’ve seen and something about it so perfect for kids. It’s not condescending and incredibly mature for how preschool kids talk and act and all the characters including the parents act like actual real people, down to the parents not always talking down to the kids and the kids getting in giggle fits. It’s really amazing how they managed to capture both how children are and how young parenthood is like. It’s also very bright and colorful without being nauseating

It’s also funny for adults too. The dad is really cute with the kids
