I watched the first 3 Alien movies this week. Not anime but whatever. I really dont get why so many people hate 3 but love the second. Compared to the first (which was the best of the three) 2 sucks butt, it was just a generic action movie. Three basically did the same thing as 1 but worse, but at least it stayed a horror movie (kinda). Not saying that 2 was super bad, but it definitly wasnt as good as its hyped up to be.
The best thing about 3 is that it killed off the little girl from 2 just like that and made millions of boomers seethe.

I watched love live superstar season 2. I hated how Kanon solved literally every problem and they did the stupid bait and switch with going overseas. Also best girl Kinako got very little screen time >:( other than that it was pretty good. Still worse than SIP and Sunshine but on par with Niji. Vitamin summer and chance day chance way were the best songs also the first one Wein sings was good.

Secondly, I definitely agree that Nise had pacing problems. Despite having some of the most memorable scenes, Karen Bee definitely went on too long. I remember enjoying Tsukihi Phoenix though. I can also agree that Kaiki as a character felt odd, but I think the way Araragi frames him makes for an interesting turn around when we get to actually know him. Not an excuse, but it kind of worked out.
Lastly, while I love the entirety of Monogatari, I really feel like it peaks with Bake and Kizu and then it's a slow downward slope from amazing to pretty good.

Watching weeklies, I'll keep shouting from the roofs to watch the new Gundam, its newbie friendly as its in an alternative universe from everything else.
Other than my weeklies, I am still pushing through Victory Gundam, the plot has slowed down a bunch. Sometimes its too heavy handed on "OH NO WE HAVE POLUTED EARTH" and then it turns around and goes "lol blow up the enemy mech reactor and make a nuclear explosion". Those explosions are super inconsistent, sometimes its like a light breeze and other times its like "If it goes off it'll wipe out the entire enemy squad and level the city" and so the characters have a moral issue.

It kinda makes sense that a facehugger got on board because it's not like they were monitoring the escape ship 24/7. I blame the cat. If you look into their eyes long enough, they'll possess your soul. In this case, the xenomorph infected the cat which got out of her cryp-tube, infected the others, and conveniently died.
I only felt for the guy who helped her escape.

So I started watching the Gundam show. And I assume it happens after the events of Neon Genesis Evangelion. But why did they change the name of the mechas? Also, didn't everyone on earth die in NGE, how were they revived?
