I watched the first 3 Alien movies this week. Not anime but whatever. I really dont get why so many people hate 3 but love the second. Compared to the first (which was the best of the three) 2 sucks butt, it was just a generic action movie. Three basically did the same thing as 1 but worse, but at least it stayed a horror movie (kinda). Not saying that 2 was super bad, but it definitly wasnt as good as its hyped up to be.
The best thing about 3 is that it killed off the little girl from 2 just like that and made millions of boomers seethe.

Watching weeklies, I'll keep shouting from the roofs to watch the new Gundam, its newbie friendly as its in an alternative universe from everything else.
Other than my weeklies, I am still pushing through Victory Gundam, the plot has slowed down a bunch. Sometimes its too heavy handed on "OH NO WE HAVE POLUTED EARTH" and then it turns around and goes "lol blow up the enemy mech reactor and make a nuclear explosion". Those explosions are super inconsistent, sometimes its like a light breeze and other times its like "If it goes off it'll wipe out the entire enemy squad and level the city" and so the characters have a moral issue.

I might, Im kinda on a horror trip currently.
There has been quite a lot gundam shilling in the comments, idk if I will ever watch it tbh cause mech stuff is usually not really my thing but maybe Ill give it a try someday.

Its not as good as Alien, but I felt it was a solid hour well spent. Old anime horror is jank but is usually at least a fun romp.
Mecha is the best genre.
