The anime film festival was nice they put a real life :marseyjapanese: qt in an oversized pikachu costume to act as a greeter :marseylove: :marseypikachu: Would simp for her nasal arigato gozaimasus so bad. Lots of nips even otherwise I had no idea there were so many anime watching nips in Delhi. Fellow Indians mostly weren't weirdos, some riajuu who actually whooed at scenes like a bunch of dumb r-slurs but :marseyshrug:. I watched 5 movies but missed out on the one I wanted to see on the big screen most, kimi no na wa :marseysulk:. Booked out :marseyseethe:

I saw Weathering With You on the big screen, but would have much preferred to see Kimi no Na wa. I did get to see Kiki's Delivery Service on the big screen just a month or so ago and god I had forgotten how great that movie is.

What was your opinion on Weathering For You? I didn't think it was as good as Kimi no nawa personally but the animation and art direction was gorgeous.

The scene near the end where they're sky diving and the songs beat hits just right was pure kino I got goosebumps seeing it even on a small screen but on a large one...

Pretty much the same thoughts on it.

Though it was actually pretty crazy they went with an ending that really seems like it's saying "frick climate change, it's not worth giving up personal happiness to prevent since we'll adapt anyways". I'm not sure if that was actually the intended message, but it's hard for me to read anything else into it. I don't know how else you can interpret him saving her from a life without any modern amenities at the cost of Tokyo flooding.
