I kept watching Ascendance of a Bookworm and am halfway through season 3, will probably finish it today or tomorrow. I also started watching Machikado Mazoku again cause I never watched the second season even though I enjoyed season 1.

finished stone ocean (good! this was the only part that I would actually recommend. the first 2 came off as very middling to me. probably my least favorite season or whatever you want to call it) and caught up on chainsaw man (really liked the ep watching it a second time with friends, but still I feel like it's missing something compared to the emotional impact of the manga. that's just because I already know what is going to happen, but who knows. also i had to explainwhat happened to himeno to someone because they didnt get it after watching the scene). also I think the next episode will have 2 of my favorite moments from the manga so i hope they pull them off well.

I stayed up super late last night to watch the Liella live. They all did super well! Personal favorite performance was probably Vitamin Summer but I also liked Pop Talking a lot. I started nodding off at the end when they started singing all the slow songs.
My biggest nitpick is that I feel like the image colors don’t fit the girls. Kinako should be Hanayo green, Mei should be blue, Sumire should be purple, and Natsumi should be pink. Well that’s my opinion otherwise.

Fooly Cooly is kino as frick. It was made by a bunch of young animators in 2000 to test out how to blend 3D animation into anime and they went absolutely wild with it, breaking whatever rules they wanted to along the way. The whole thing is clinically insane and hardly makes sense but it's a really good 6 episode series. Plus the entire soundtrack was made by a Japanese indie rock band and it goes hard as frick.

Serial Experiments Lain. I literally had no idea what was going on the entire time. Perfect Blue is a movie but it’s incredibly good. Paprika is another movie, great visuals and an inception-like plot. I also second the original Higirashi and even though they never finished it I thought the Umineko anime was pretty good.
