Havent watched much this week, just a few more episodes of Ergo Proxy. Will probably finish it next week and hopefully start something else too.

You know what. I'm gonna say it, that's right. I liked Netflix Record of Ragnarok adaption. Yeah I said it. I think it's perfectly fine. I think the direction is good and I think the music is good too. And I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel emotional at multiple points, especially in the final episode when when the fat sumo wrestlers send of Raiden. Is it getting hard carried by the source material? Sure, maybe so, but I don't care. There it is, frick the haters.

Saw the first four episodes and it feels like all the worst part of anime packaged together. Horrible animation, horrible pacing, and a boring and contrived story. Felt like it was very intentionally wasting my time.

Guy winds up for one attack-> cut to the crowd for at least 2 minutes so they can talk about how strong/weak he is -> cut to boring 5 minute backstory that I don't care about because we just met all the characters -> guy attacks once and it's super underwhelming and barely even animated.

Then repeat that process over and over again. It makes Dragonball Super look like Casablanca. I don't know how someone could enjoy this knowing how many animes with amazing animation, stories, and characters are out there.

Yeah but that's basically, like, all anime. And it's based on real historical figures and gods tho and you don't know who's gonna win unlike most battle shonen.
