That's what so great about it! Everything wrong in Punpun's life is because of him, ignoring his shitty parents of course, he goes about and pities for himself all while ignoring all his real friends and actual women who show interest in him. He could turn his life around at any time but just wallows about. He's literally every incel and chud user! HE'S LITERALLY ME. And even after everything he goes through and the support he receives, he doesn't change. It's still all about him, he still goes about and complains about how gay and painful life is without actually doing anything about it. Great manga 9/10. Although leaving your baby mama for her comatose sister is pretty based.
