Anyone seen Suzume?

Watched it at a hall yesterday, was nice I'd rate it over tenki no ko but below kimi no na wa. I don't get why the cat loves suzume though? Also feels like Shinkai is shifting from moid pov stuff(garden of words/Kimi no na wa) to foid centric ones(this one's literal foid wish fulfillment tbh and tenki no ko was too), is it cause foids watch romcoms more or is he
