While that's true, I feel like it's way too late to solve now anyways and that they'll drop past their 2 population spikes in about 20 years already with the first wave to die off much sooner. For a good example: it took until about 2017 for anime blu-rays of reverse harem/otoge adaptation and yaoi anime to start outselling DVD's.

Until ensemble stars and Disney twisted wonderland and fgo and genshin just won't load, they won't get a new one.

The other thing is just that cost of living doesn't infinitely increase in Japan as the government doesn't infinitely import more brown people to increase the GDP.

A return to form, really. Post war Japan was poor as dirt and they had an economic boom that ended decades ago.

They should return to being isolationist for a few centuries imo. They are going to see tourist dollars as an increasingly important form of revenue, their traditional culture will be kept up only for show kind of like in China.
