The latest episode of Re:Zero was possibly the weakest of the whole series. No one wanted a generic flashback of an uninteresting, undeveloped side character that until now had like 10 minutes of screen time :marseyno:

That said, apart from this mishap, this season is great :marseyembrace:

The /r/anime discussion thread is really funny. Like, the episode was butt both visually and content wise relative to the rest of the series, but most of the top comments are still people glazing it. It's a funny quirk of internet fandoms where once people decide something is good they close their eyes and lalalala when it's bad.
