Weekly Anime Post 187

Finished Texhnolyze which was weird. It has a reputation but it didn't live up to it. The later episodes reminded me of Kaiba for the surrealist imagery and weird plotlines.

Still watching Strike the Blood, mostly due to the good sound design and reasonable fights.

Started watching and then finishedSakamoto Days. I've heard people complaining about the anime vs the manga but as a proud illiterate I thought it was breddy gud. I still think The Fable edges it out because it's more realistic. I have no idea idea if it was just the rip I was watching but the audio mixing was super inconsistent and the master volume of episodes varied wildly.

Read Liberty. Oh hey it's a yuri manga... aaand it's full of DV. Even in their fantasies they're being abused it kind of just ends in the middle, since it's on indefinite hiatus after chapter 21

Read Useless Ponko because I'm a sucker for nandroids. It's cute and fluffy and Ponko being a klutz is great. The head falling off gags are amusing

I'm watching L-Gaim, its gotten better towards the middle. Still suffers from being weirdly silly at times. The mechs have grown on me a lot, and I'm apparently approaching the part where Amu stops having woman moments.

There was nothing good

Some guy made a fricking meme trying to frame it as being the same as domestic abuse and the people calling him out on it were being downmarseyd in the comments and being told that it was "just a meme". One of mine got threaded to /r/deuxrama or whatever that fasch sub is called, because /r/battlefieldv notoriously houses actual fascists who can blend in thanks to the viral Wehrabooism.
