Weekly Anime Post 50

Aevann asked me not to use little kids in my anime posts anymore so this is what you get.

I havent watched anything this week tbh, I wanted to continue NHK but didnt have much time or motivation so Im still stuck at episode 3. But, this is still supposedly an NHK discussion thread as it was the recommended watch, so if you did watch it tell me about it.

Otherwise, recommend shows for the next discussion thread, which will be in 2 weeks.

Been watching code geass, pretty good but honestly he should’ve just started telling everyone to kill themselves right off the bat

Idk how far you got but there was this point in the story where something so fricking stupid happens that I couldnt bear to keep watching.

So the r-slurred shit where the guy has a phonecall with the pink haired girl accidentally uses his powers on her already happened I guess. That was so fricking stupid imo cause it was sooooo forced. Like, they could have ended the whole story there, but wanted to force it on.

I dont even remember what exactly happened because it has been a while since I watched but I vividly remember how fricking stupid I though that was.

Ahahaha, I'm not the only one then. Writers accidentally wrapped up the entire story and then had to pull a whacky tragic coincidence out of their butt to keep it going for another 10 episodes.

Then there's the point where tens of thousands of people simultaneously cosplay as Zero. :marseyxd: I can't believe how many weebs tell me this convoluted nonsense is the BEST ANIME EVAR, just admit you like Mecha and creepy yaoi prettyboys and don't pretend this shit is well put together.

It's not the Mecha's that make this good, the implementation of them is also pretty mediocre in Code Geass.

It's more that smart antiheroes have a big appeal to a demographic that is currently underserved, the same people that like the joker, though I admit the smartness is more of a Sherlok Holmes magic smartness that uses intelligence as a Deus Ex Machina than real intelligence.

The mecha are integral to the plot and the world-building of Code Geass, and the implementation of them is masterful. The antiheroes are smart and resourceful, and the plot is full of twists and turns that keep the audience engaged. The same people who like the Joker will appreciate the smartness of the characters in Code Geass.

I just do what Lelouche the Douche does online with comments instead of some fancy sharingan.

This didn't ruin it completely, but prevented it to be one of the great ones. At least make it a bit more plausible
