These kinds of bots and sockpuppet accounts don't even need AI; they were all over Reddit in 2016 and 2020, using the same tech that powers mobile keyboard autosuggest.

There's a strong hypothesis that Elon & his financiers bought Twitter to target the largest amount of captive audience possible with the largest amount of falsehood firehose possible - to throw the 2024 elections in the US & abroad.

Every other platform has strong tech & experienced teams to detect & counter astroturfing. Elon dismantled that tech & fired those teams.

Twitter is now effectively a Chan board.
